South Orange Mandates Wearing Masks Indoors
Due to an increase in positive test cases and community transmission, Village President Sheena Collum signed an Executive Order requiring “an indoor mask mandate for all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, in all public facilities and businesses in the Township of South Orange Village” which goes into effect immediately.

SOVCA is dedicated to revitalizing downtown South Orange by creating art throughout the town and to making art central to the daily life of the community. The murals will be painted, can be any style, and should represent “Harmony.” The selected mural will serve as a community celebration for years to come.

Deborah Engel Named Chair of South Orange Village Center Alliance as Mark Murphy Finishes Term
The South Orange Village Center Alliance (SOVCA), the non-profit organization that manages South Orange’s downtown special improvement district, unanimously elected its first female chair on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Deborah Engel will assume the position from Mark Murphy, who has served as chair since June 2019.
