What can we do? How can we help?” – these are the questions we’ve all been asking ourselves and each other. The crisis in Ukraine is beyond words.
On Sunday, May 1 in the SOPAC lobby, The Herb + Milly Iris Gallery at SOPAC joins together with Good Crowd Events and Fire in the Belly Art Making to host Art for Ukraine, a pop-up art sale. Proceeds will be donated to Razom, which means “together” in Ukrainian.
As artists living in this community, one that especially celebrates art in all its forms, we want to bring people together around what we do best, around what demonstrates the deepest humanity in all of us — the art we make.
So we reached out and asked our community of artists to each donate a piece of work that we could sell with all of the proceeds going to Ukraine. Please support our response to this humanitarian crisis and buy a piece of art.
Razom is an organization responding to the crisis in Ukraine by providing critical humanitarian war relief and recovery depending on the most urgent needs as they evolve. Razom was born out of the Revolution of Dignity in 2014. In 2021, Razom was a recipient of the Guidestar Gold Transparency Award, the highest award given to non-profit organizations regarding overall accountability.
