We’re excited to announce that the Farmers Market is back for another amazing season! This year, the market will run every Wednesday from June 4 through October 29, with new hours: 1 PM to 6 PM (updated from 2–7 PM).

This is your chance to apply and be part of one of the season’s most vibrant community events! Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee a spot—vendors will be approved based on availability and fit. Apply below to join us in making this year’s market a success!

Please note:

  • This registration form and paperwork submission does NOT guarantee you acceptance to the market. Final approval will be given by South Orange Downtown

  • To become a food and beverage vendor for this market you will need to be approved by the SOMA Board of Health and South Orange Downtown.

REGISTRATION FEE: $50.00 (non-refundable) ALL VENDORS ARE REQUIRED TO PAY THIS FEE. You will be prompted to pay this after you fill out the registration form.

*MARKET FEES: You must pick a package below. A minimum of 5 markets is required to participate.

Full Season (22 Markets)= $550
Part Season (11 Markets) = $330
Mini Season (5 Markets) = $200

SETUP REQUIREMENTS: Vendors are responsible for all setup materials needed including a 10x10 tent, table(s), tablecloths, promotional materials, etc.

All Vendors:

All vendors will be required to provide the following documents upon acceptance into the market. Please submit all documents to lisa@southorangedowntown.org

Food Vendors:

The South Orange Downtown Farmers Market works together with the SOMA Board of Health to ensure the safety of the patrons of the market and are required to follow all local health codes related to food safety. Please submit all forms to lisa@southorangedowntown.org

  • Signed Market Rules & Regulations

  • Signed Hold Harmless Agreement

  • Submit a Certificate of Business Insurance listing Township of South Orange and the South Orange Village Center Alliance as additional insured.

  • Temporary Food Vendor Application

  • Health Department Business License

  • Health Department Sanitary Inspection Certificate (naming your business)

  • Serv-Safe Sanitary Certificate

  • If you are a Cottage Food Vendor, please submit your cottage food license.

*If you plan to cook on site, you will also need to submit a permit for the fire department. Please look at the (Vendors Cooking on Site forms listed below).
