New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA)

Michelle Osorio is a Senior Small Business Liaison for the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. The New Jersey Economic Development Authority is the state’s principal agency for driving economic growth. The NJEDA is committed to providing equitable access to opportunities, job creation and building and stronger and fairer economy for all of New Jersey. Michelle’s role within the EDA is to build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with the different stake holders in NJ that support small businesses as well as promote and educate others on the different products and services the EDA has to offer with a focus on small, minority, women, and veteran owned businesses. She has spent her career supporting entrepreneurs and business owners in underserved communities.  Michelle is fluent in Spanish and has helped hundreds of business owners navigate the complexities of business ownership in both languages.

  • Find the right hires. SHU’s Career Center and Downtown Liaison connect businesses with student job seekers and provide hiring support, including resume screening and interview assistance.

  • Expand your reach. SHU’s Student Activities Board helps businesses promote their events, promotions, and opportunities directly to students.

ADAM WARNER

Director of Market Research Center

Adam is a marketing professor at Seton Hall University, director of their Market Research Center, and director of their business consulting services. He is also as an adjunct professor in the Pharmaceutical MBA program at Rutgers. In addition, he runs a market research agency – Warner & Associates Consulting, LLC based in the Princeton NJ area.

The Seton Hall University Market Research Center has led over 300 University/Business partnership projects (both market research & business consulting initiatives). These include ~ 12 projects with area organizations in the South Orange/ Maplewood community including businesses, non-profits, schools and the South Orange Village administration. Projects are typically very ‘win/win’. Great hands-on learning for students and excellent insights/ actionable recommendations for our partners.

Adam has 20+ years of experience in the healthcare/ pharma industry including roles in market research, sales, product management and consulting. Adam earned both his undergraduate Business Administration degree and his MBA from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. He has been at Seton Hall University for 14 years.

Seton Hall Consult Your Community

Seton Hall Consulting Group was established to provide students with the opportunity to learn about careers in consulting. If you like business, team projects, and solving problems, a career in consulting might be a good fit for you. Through this club, you will get exposure to firms through networking events, participate in case study workshops, and learn about the recruiting process. In addition, we are an official chapter of Consult Your Community where a select group of students provide pro-bono consulting to small businesses in the community. Here, you can apply what you learn in the classroom to projects dealing with marketing strategy, process improvement, and other business functions.

Consult Your Community (CYC) is a national organization with chapters at over 25 schools in the US, focusing on providing pro bono consulting services to women and minority-owned businesses.

ALYSSA BEYER

Assistant Director of Student Activities

Office of Student Engagement

Alyssa Beyer is the Assistant Director of Student Activities at Seton Hall University. She discovered her passion for higher education as an undergraduate at Gettysburg College and later joined the Seton Hall community as a graduate student. Since then, Alyssa has gained valuable experience working in both the Admissions Office and the Office of Student Engagement.

As the Assistant Director, Alyssa co-advises the Student Activities Board and oversees commuter and senior class programs. She takes great pride in connecting with students and organizing memorable events and programs to enrich their college experience.
