Roll up your sleeves! Just in time for Thanksgiving, a class dedicated to all-butter pie dough. In this hands-on class, you’ll get a jump start on the holiday by making flaky pie dough by hand.
Weigh the pros and cons of using a food processor vs. a stand mixer vs. the old-fashioned way. Learn how to successfully roll out a bottom crust, weave a lattice top and crimp.
Uncover the mystery of when/why/how to blind bake and why you need to babysit your pie while it’s baking. Different kinds of pie plates yield different results; let’s talk about it.
The two hour class includes pie treats and local cider plus a chance to win a Emile Henry pie plate.
Bring your rolling pin, favorite butter and questions so we can answer them and arm you with the knowledge to confidently bake the pie at home.
