Paint your piece of the Juneteenth Community Art Project in this guided outdoor painting event. 

You’ll be given a 12”x12” board which is your pixel of the larger piece of art commemorating Juneteenth. Experienced leaders will guide and inspire you in painting your piece with patterns or images representative of Juneteenth. 

DJ Roc will provide music to paint and groove to. Dancing is absolutely permitted!

All supplies provided. Bring your own refreshments.

This event culminates on Sunday, June 19, when participants and the community are invited to join us in the SOPAC Lobby for the Community Art Project Celebration and Unveiling from 2 - 4 pm. Come see how your individual creation contributed to the finished project.  Live music with Dre Barnes Trio. Light bites, and refreshments available.

The painting event is suitable for ages 18 and over. Space is limited to 25, but if you miss out on reserving a spot to participate in the project, feel free to bring your own supplies, set up, and paint your own masterpiece.
