24 Hours of Live Music

This weekend from May 20th at Noon through May 21st at Noon, we are presenting 24 hours of live, uninterrupted continuous music in the Village Center! It's all part of our new campaign to brand South Orange as the Live Music Capital of North Jersey. How can we make such a claim, you ask? It's simple! With 6o+ live concerts per summer during our Downtown After Sundown concert series, along with the 150+ shows that SOPAC stages during the year, the school concerts, plus all our special events such as the concert series on Floods Hill, PlayDay, the Irvington Avenue Food Truck festival, it's easy to make that claim, and we're standing by it!

Our event kicks off next Saturday, May 20th at Noon at the Sloan Street Gazebo with a brief press conference followed by...drum roll please...24 hours of live music! I know what you're thinking: will there be live music even in the wee hours of the morning? Yes, there will be live music even in the wee hours of the morning!

Thanks to our Downtown After Sundown coordinator Gregory Burrus, Mark Murphy of Mark Murphy's Music, and several of our downtown businesses, we're curating this 24 hour period with music of all different stripes and sounds.
